Rather than telling you what I'm like, I asked my team. They call me a 'revenue accelerator' and 'success generator.' I agree that those are my strengths, but I wondered why and how I am this way. It all comes down to this: I'm incredibly effective at leading and motivating a team to deliver outcomes.
This may explain why, over a decade at Meta, I've accelerated the EMEA business by 550 percent in 36 months and increased the beauty and luxury vertical in the Middle East by 50% CAGR. And I was instrumental in seven-folding their reseller business to more than $1 billion before expanding it to over 40 global markets.
None of this was accomplished on my own; I’m very, very good at choosing great, smart, innovative people to work with, to work for, and to work for me. I build great teams and strive to make them even better. My team tells me that I encourage them to be their own personal CEOs within the company by providing them with trust, independence, confidence, and a platform to do their best work.
I like to think of myself as a human bridge between people who need to change and those who want to change. I don't consider myself a salesperson; instead, I cultivate long-term relationships with people that foster trust and allow me to drive results by getting them excited about a change they didn't want to make or didn't see coming.
I’m also an urgent optimist and curious about everything. This extraordinary life has given me endless opportunities to seize opportunities and boost my ‘Yes-man’ mindset, as well as incredible stories to share when I keynote and host events.
I've coached Premier League players and am one of the voices in the hugely successful Lego Movie. I've played Captain Morgan, officiated weddings on three continents, MC’ed at Tomorrowland, and was asked to host Facebook's annual conference.
While I love the people and companies I‘ve worked for, I actively encourage that fine balance of life and work. I'm also committed to giving everyone a sense of belonging, which is why I a chaired Meta's multiracial community.
When I'm not glued to my mobile screen, I'm traveling the world, speaking three of my five languages fluently. After visiting every continent and over 70 countries, I've realized that I enjoy going to places that most people avoid.
One day, I'll own a vineyard and serve free wine to my friends as we sit in the sun, laughing and talking in the South of France. I hope to see you there!
